V Villas – a beautifully designed enclave in the heart of Hua Hin.
Getting the chance to completely switch off is a luxury we aren’t used to all that often so for a few days we checked in to V Villas Hua Hin where we got to experience our own beautiful and peaceful enclave designed by world-renowned architects Boiffils.
Hua Hin is one of our favourite cities in Thailand and is well known for its long sandy beaches, lush green hillside, cool boutiques and quirky street art. One of the classiest addresses to stay in Hua Hin is the luxurious V Villas; a hotel that offers an unparalleled level of luxury, comfort and privacy. Our stunning private pool villa was a haven of comforts and rich furnishings, complete with unique accessories and décor, first-class amenities, and 24-hour butler service.
The design of V Villas was inspired by the geometric patterns of terraced rice paddies. From stepping up to the elevated lobby a long terraced walkway with water lily-filled ponds and lush green landscaping leads you through to the beautiful view of the infinity pool and the Gulf of Thailand beyond. The tone of the resort is upscale chic, while the well-maintained herb gardens and exotic fauna add a welcome touch of nature and wilderness.
There is little hint to the luxury villas that branch off to the left and right of the long walkway as they are hidden and tucked away in the landscaping:
“Because the villas are nested in the landscape it creates a very original kind of privacy which is very different from what this kind of resort usually offers. It is not enclosed between walls but completely opened on the garden. This way, nobody can get a view from outside because of the way we played with the different levels. It create the feeling of a private villa.”
V Villas fuses the privacy of a condo with the service of a luxury boutique hotel. The 28 exclusive villas (ranging from one to three bedrooms) each include a lux-living space (big soft sofas, large-screen TVs, coffee-making facilities), welcoming bedrooms, spacious en-suite bathrooms (including large double-ended spa bath and walk-in showers), and secluded garden each with plunge pool and gourmet kitchen. It’s perfect for couples and families who want a bit of seclusion and is ideal to just chill with your holiday read.
The service is laidback and unobtrusive with our butler delivering us a welcome High Tea treat each afternoon at 2.30pm. She tells us we can book our own private in-villa BBQ chef too. Why would we want to leave?
The personal butler service is second-to-none and our butler Nott was wonderful. She met us at the front desk and took care of all of our needs from the moment we stepped foot in the door. She was there for any requests we had during our stay. Luckily team Fused are pretty low maintenance, apart from an emergency green curry splatter on a pair of cream shorts which were whipped away to dry cleaning and delivered back in super quick time.
On one evening Nott leaves us each with a revitalising face mask and some earplugs. We were worried she thought we were doing too much during our stay at V Villas, but we can confidently report that eight hours of sun lounging, crime novel reading, podcast listening and floating around on the rose-shaped inflatable in our pool, was certainly the opposite to hard work.
Each morning we head down to the beachfront setting of the Vilazzo Restaurant to eat our breakfast at the outdoor seating area. You can order your breakfast selection to eat in the Villa, but as we enjoy the surroundings of the pool and the sea we choose from the a la carte menu alongside a handful of other guests. The sunken dining tables mean we end up spending a long time enjoying the morning while getting through our Chicken noodles and dim sum selection. We take our sparkling wine over to the seats closest to the beach and watch Hua Hin visitors enjoy the sea – it’s the perfect spot.
Even with its central location a stay at V Villas manages to offer a tranquil setting that makes guests feel as though they’re a world away. You get to enjoy stunning views of the beach making it an ideal spot for those looking to explore or relax. For those looking for an extra dose of luxury, V Villa’s five-star services are sure to please. The great location means you’re never far from dining options, bars and entertainment which is close enough to the vibrant Cicada and Tamarind weekend night markets when you are feeling more sociable.
