SXSW IN POLAROID’S
We flew over the Atlantic to Austin for SXSW armed with a strong liver and a camera. Here’s our visual roundup of SXSW in Poloaroid’s.
For those that don’t know, South by Southwest (SXSW) is one of the most highly anticipated festivals in the world of music, film, and interactive media. Every year, thousands of people flock to Austin, Texas to experience the best of the creative scene. And this year’s SXSW did not disappoint
As we wandered the streets of Austin, I couldn’t help but feel the energy and excitement in the air. Every corner was filled with the sound of music, the smell of BBQ food, free booze and the buzz of people. It was like being in a non-stop party where creativity was the guest of honour.
Here are some of the parties that stood out:
- FLOODfest: located at Cedar Street Courtyard, FLOODfest was the place to be for live music lovers. With headliners such as Spoon, Run the Jewels, and TV on the Radio, this event was a must-see for anyone looking for a high-energy party.
- Spotify House: located at 901 E 6th Street, Spotify House was the place to be for music lovers looking to discover new artists. Featuring up-and-coming acts like Superhumanoids and Benjamin Booker, this party was the perfect way to discover your new favorite band.
- Hype Hotel: located at 1100 E 5th Street, Hype Hotel was a party that truly lived up to its name. Featuring some of the hottest acts in electronic music like ODESZA and AlunaGeorge, this event was the perfect way to dance the night away.
- Rachael Ray’s Feedback: located at Stubb’s BBQ, Rachael Ray’s Feedback was the ultimate party for foodies and music lovers alike. With a lineup featuring Weezer, Big Data, and J. Roddy Walston & The Business, this event was the perfect way to indulge in great food and great music.
The festival always brings together some of the best and most talented musicians from around the world, but we went to party and people watch, as what really sets SXSW apart from other festivals is the atmosphere. It’s a place where creativity and innovation are celebrated, where people from all walks of life come together to share their passion and ideas. As we partied on the streets of Austin, we couldn’t help but feel that we were a part of something special. And that’s what SXSW is all about.
Here are a few of our visual shenanigans.
