Lounging In A Luxury Villa On Koh Samui
Arriving from frenetic Bangkok to Koh Samui’s charmingly relaxed airport on a sultry evening, we were greeted by our cheerful butler, Ball, who whisked us away on a quick 10-minute drive to Samujana, situated on the island’s northeastern tip. As we entered the resort, there was no traditional check-in. Instead, Ball snapped photos of our passports and led us directly to our home for the next three nights—Villa 10.
Shrouded in darkness, we could only sense the grandeur of our six-bedroom villa. Ball, along with our personal cook Khun Pui, had prepared two rooms for us to choose from. As we explored the sprawling two-story villa, we discovered a spacious family room with expansive windows that opened onto a private lap pool, and a cosy TV room downstairs. The minimalist decor was inviting; and almost ready for guests to infuse with their own personalities. We later learned that Villa 10 is actually available for purchase – tempting.

The next morning, we wandered through the resort, framed by lush tropical foliage and striking modern architecture, hinting at the luxury within. The amenities here cater to every desire. Our infinity pool (pictured below), with its uninterrupted views of the Gulf, quickly became our favourite spot for relaxation. For more active pursuits, some of the villas come equipped with a private gym, and there are water sports equipment like kayaks and snorkelling gear available near the beach. The estate also features a tennis court, perfect for a friendly match against a stunning backdrop.

The villa manager can arrange a variety of bespoke experiences, from yoga sessions and in-villa spa treatments to private boat trips and island tours. Samujana’s prime location on Koh Samui’s northeastern coast offers both seclusion and convenience.
