PETUNIA IBIZA BOUTIQUE HOTEL SET TO OPEN JUNE 2020
Petunia Ibiza is an under-the-radar gem. Set on the sparkling shores of Cala Carbó, an intimate south coast beach adored by locals, the charming bolthole boasts an enviable spot overlooking the magnificent rock of Es Vedra.

Such is the fortuitous setting of Petunia Ibiza that a sense of breezy relaxation emanates from every corner. It’s felt in the hotel’s alfresco chill-out areas, where canopies and cushions provide shelter from the sun around the sparkling swimming pool lined with comfy sun loungers, and in the surrounding gardens that sing with vibrant colour. It’s palpable even at check-in, which never ever takes place in front of a desk. Each of Petunia Ibiza’s 35 villas and rooms are decorated in a pared-back but sophisticated style – the simplicity of white walls and floors offset by a dynamic pattern or a hand-crafted piece of furniture by local Ibizan designers.
The family-owned property was purchased in 2017 and reopened under new ownership in 2018 following renovations. New for 2020, the hotel will now house the iconic Ibiza family-owned restaurant, La Mesa Escondida. With a strong garden-to-table ethos, it will continue to specialise in modern Mediterranean gastronomy fusing together traditional ingredients found on the island and from the hotel’s incredible gardens. At the helm, Chef Lorenzo will continue to bring his unique flavours and seasonal dishes to locals and guests at Petunia Ibiza. He has been working closely with the hotel team to reimagine some of his much-loved recipes along with a new curated wine list.
