I don’t even want to embarrass myself by sharing the year I last purchased a new pair of trainers; but let’s just say the Adidas Gazelle and Puma States were the footwear of choice at the time.
Of course I wear trainers for visits to the gym; my trusty purple New Balance kicks have served me well over that last couple of years, and I’ve dabbled with white Converse All Stars, but trainers as a daily fashion item? No, let’s just not go there! Until this month.
I am fully aware that for many individuals trainers are THE only footwear item to adorn their feet but I haven’t done as much as walk to the local shop in a pair of trainers in years. But this month I found myself coveting a more simple, stylish trainer. I have broken and found my Gazelles of 2015! Trainers that I can wear with just about anything. That are comfy. And importantly that come in a fine variety of shades.
OK so they might have been around for a while but then i’m no sneaker bore or snob however it does seem in a matter of a couple of short weeks I’m now fully sold on trainers as regular day wear use that doesn’t have to include a workout – I might have to draw the line at night wear mind.
