If you enjoyed the spectacle of the Met Gala this May; especially Gigi Hadid’s voluminous wine-coloured Versace puffer jacket, then you might just need to keep your eye on puffer trends for the home. We take a look at Met Gala puffer inspired homewares with Hem.
Independent design brand Hem have been bringing imaginative designs to life with a unique take on comfort thanks to their creative collaborations with designers, and their Puffy Lounge Chair by Faye Toogood is a wonderful take on the ‘Puffer’ trend.
The detachable upholstery of the Puffy Lounge Chair is fat and plump with its generous shape spilling freely over the sides of a tubular steel frame which, in stark contrast, is hard-lined and strong. The two key elements of this seating are in purposeful and playful juxtaposition.
The elementary frame is inspired by the rational structure of classic modernist design, whilst the extravagant quilt-like upholstery warmly embraces and envelopes, is comforting and reassuring. The Puffy Chair frame is available in powder-coated or sand-blasted steel finishes and a choice of thick canvas or luxurious leather upholstery.
Hem is an independent design brand and platform for progressive thinking, inspiring the creative community through collaboration, innovation and experimentation. They collaborate with vanguard designers and renowned European manufacturers in order to bring truly unique furnishings to those who won’t compromise on design, quality or sustainability.
