Lakeside Villa, Shenzhen, China is a luxurious and picturesque hotel designed by ACE DESIGN . The contemporary is property is located in an idyllic area just outside of Shenzhen, surrounded by lakes and forest, and in close proximity to the South China Sea.
The interior of the 6-storey residence located in the Nanshan District of Shenzhen incorporates a refined, minimalist style composed of flowing, open-plan spaces framed by pure white walls and full height windows opening onto majestic views of a garden.
The classic simplicity of the surfaces in the main living spaces provide an elegant backdrop for the art collection of the villa’s owner Shuan Liang, with pieces placed in specific locations to maximise their effect.
Carefully selected furniture throughout the space complements the artworks and the color palette of the rooms, creating a calm, elegant atmosphere.
An abundance of natural light at each level of the interior has been achieved by the designer through the careful placement of generous double-height spaces, large skylights and windows, and an open staircase with glass balustrade, breathing life into the centre of the building and the lower levels.
“To some extent, design is a means of self-expression and self-discovery. Another aspect of inner expression is: Being completely relaxed to perceive the body and mind, to generate emotions, to discover oneself, and to develop empathy with a particular culture .” say the designers.
