CELEBRATING 15 YEARS OF RIMAC: THE NEW NEVERA 15TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION

CELEBRATING 15 YEARS OF RIMAC: THE NEW NEVERA 15TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION

In 2009, Mate Rimac founded Rimac Automobili, defying the sceptics who said it was impossible to build a car company in Croatia. Just two years later, he shattered world records with his self-converted all-electric BMW. Fast forward to 2018, and Rimac announced the world’s first all-electric hypercar, achieving performance figures once deemed unreachable. Today, the Rimac Nevera stands as the ultimate record-breaking hypercar. To celebrate 15 years of groundbreaking achievements, Rimac introduces the exclusive Nevera 15th Anniversary Edition.

A Limited Edition Masterpiece

Only nine bespoke examples of this special edition will be produced. The first car finished in a unique copper shade, debuts matte paintwork on the Nevera for the first time. This colour choice symbolises both celebration and energy, reflecting copper’s use in electrical cables. A striking gloss contrast is provided by a full visible carbon fiber split, enhancing the car’s dynamic appearance.

Exclusive Features and Design

Each of the nine cars features dual-colour alloy wheels, 15th Anniversary badging, and the distinctive Rimac pattern, which mimics circuit board connections, running the length of the car. Inside, copper anodized switchgear and copper-painted surfaces echo the exterior’s celebratory theme. The armrest bears special ‘one-of-nine’ and ‘2009-2024’ scripts, marking this edition truly unique. The cabin can be finished in bold black or pristine white, with contrasting copper leather seats embossed with ’15’.

Pricing and Premiere

Priced at €2,350,000, the 15th Anniversary Edition includes all options and bespoke luggage matching the car’s interior. The first of these exclusive cars will debut at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed, where it will take on the iconic hill climb, a course where the Nevera Time Attack edition set a production car record in 2023 with a time of 49.32 seconds.

Rimac’s Incredible Journey

Since its inception, Rimac has grown from Mate Rimac’s dream into a conglomerate with over 2,200 employees across four countries. Today, the Rimac Group includes Bugatti Rimac, the pinnacle of hypercar manufacturers, Rimac Technology, a Tier 1 supplier to global car manufacturers, and Rimac Energy, an innovative stationary energy storage business.

Mate Rimac reflects on the company’s journey: “From tinkering in a garage to reaching a 2bn EUR valuation, the 15th Anniversary Edition Nevera marks our incredible progress. We’ve gone from a converted BMW 3 Series to the world’s fastest accelerating production car, expanding into EV tech and energy storage, all starting in a country where our achievements seemed like science fiction.”

Rimac Campus and Future Plans

The first phase of the Rimac Campus, a 100,000 m² HQ and production facility near Zagreb, is complete, with Phase 2 underway. A second facility is planned to accommodate the growing demand for Rimac projects.

Despite its growth, Rimac’s core mission remains to build the ultimate all-electric hypercar. The Nevera, now a symbol of this ambition, continues to inform innovations within Rimac Technology, Rimac Energy, and Bugatti Rimac.

Innovative Technology

The Rimac Nevera is the most powerful production car in the world, setting 27 performance records last year alone. Its speed is driven by an advanced in-house developed battery system, powertrain, and software. The car’s front and rear powertrains, each with two individual motors, provide power to each wheel independently. The rear features a 1MW dual inverter enabling 900Nm and 450kW per motor, while the bespoke front powertrain ensures optimal power and control. All systems are managed by a complex network of electronic control units, working with an NVIDIA Pegasus-based supercomputer to optimize power delivery 100 times per second through Rimac All-Wheel Torque Vectoring 2.
