Usually if you put something pastel pink infront of the female half of team Fused I’m tempted to turn my already slighted turned-up nose and walk away; especially when it looks like it would be more at home in a fairy princess toy house. Add mini pink tassels and a gemstone on the top and the princess overload is firmly in control.
But as they say ‘you should never judge a book by its cover’ and in the case of a bottle of Delina by Parfums de Marly this is certainly very true. Never have so many people commented on my perfume – ever!
I’m a fan big fan of anything Tom Ford, and absolutely worship at the doors of Jo Malone, rarely shying away from the heavier scented choices, but even Tom & Jo can’t compete with the compliments I have had from this scent of lushness.
This is a parfum literally jam-packed with notes that deliver a sweet, uber-feminine and complex scent that lingers with you all day. This one won’t fade as soon as you spray – you’ll be reminded of what you are wearing as it wafts past with just the slightest move.
Having done a little experiment of wearing it when seeing friends and family almost all have made a comment on how much they like it. So yes aesthetically it might not be in the kind of perfume I would take off the shelf to even try but i’m holding tight on to this one regardless of the bottle and it will sit proudly on the dressing table – while I rejoice in all the lovely comments on just how nice I smell.
